Service Notice: Firmware Update Request to Address Security Enhancements when Accessing the Canon Cloud Integration Service Operation Servers

Thank you for using Canon products.

As of August 31, 2024, to continue to use the Canon cloud integration service for certain Canon Laser Printers listed under Affected models below, a firmware version update is necessary due to security enhancements on the servers on which the relevant service operates.

If you attempt to print or scan using the cloud integration service with an older version of firmware, no error message will be displayed, but printing and scanning will not be possible. We ask that you please upgrade your model with the applicable updated firmware listed below.

Affected Products

imageCLASS MF Series
• imageCLASS MF275dw (Main Controller v4.15 or later)
• imageCLASS MF273dw (Main Controller v4.15 or later)
• imageCLASS MF272dw (Main Controller v4.15 or later)

imageCLASS LBP Series
• imageCLASS LBP122dw (Main Controller v4.15 or later)

Update Method:
When new firmware is released on these models above, a message indicating new firmware has been released will be displayed on the printer’s control panel. PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE PANEL TO PERFORM THIS FIRMWARE UPDATE ONCE RELEASED. OTHERWISE, PRINTING AND SCANNING WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE AS NOTED ABOVE.
