Firmware Update: PowerShot PICK Firmware Version 1.3.0

Changes in firmware:

The firmware (version 1.3.0) incorporates the following fixes and enhancements:
  1. Adds "Tracking Assist" function that detects and tracks moving objects even when a person's face can’t be detected during video recording.
  2. "Tracking Assist" function setting added.
* This change requires updating the smartphone/tablet software Connect app for Mini PTZ Cam to version 1.3.0 or higher along with updating the camera firmware.
* For details on using the new “Tracking Assist” function, please refer to the updated Advanced User Guide.

Firmware Version 1.3.0 is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.2.0. If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.3.0, it is not necessary to update the firmware.

The camera’s User Manual on our website has been updated accordingly. Please download the User Manual as well as the latest firmware. You can download it from Canon’s official website.

Preparations for a firmware update:
In the folder you downloaded are the firmware (file name: PSP00130.F12.FIR /file size: XXXXX bytes) and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese). Before starting the firmware update operations, please be sure to carefully review the instructions to confirm your understanding of the firmware update procedures.
